The School Prom
Years ago the school prom was a disco in the school hall or the gym for end of term for the 16 year olds.
There was usually a teacher playing music cassettes on a table in the corner or if you were lucky there was a 'DJ' with some 45s and a turntable ! Participants usually walked there or got on a bus!  If you you very lucky you had a 'chauffeur' to drive you to your venue - aka - your dad ! It was all a very informal affair. There were no prom gowns or dresses and no photographer !

At the stunning venue ( school hall ) , chairs would be assembled around the edges of the room where the boys would sit and the girls would be dancing in the middle! It was a brave boy who got up to dance to The Sweet or T Rex or even Mud !

The current School Prom came from the US some years ago, mainly due to American TV shows and movies and has become very popular here in the UK.
With the Prom comes lots of planning and excitement. Now longer is it held in the school gym!
Its usually held in a local hotel or large venue.
Plans are made for what prom gown to wear, hair styles and jewellery and how to turn up in style!
Wedding cars are ideal to transport the prom princess in style and luxury.

At 1st Wedding Cars we offer a Lady Chauffeur to drive your daughter or son to the prom venue safely and in style. Our car is a real head turner and will guarantee that friends will be impressed!
